Hello friends and family, and welcome to our July missions update.
Staff Retreat
Carmen and I are finally on outreach. Before outreach we attended our annual staff retreat. As a base we had a few days to process what has happened over the last year, and talk and pray about what God has for the future. Our guest speakers were a Mexican couple that have been in missions over twenty years. They spent 10 years in Nepal and have a wealth of knowledge and experience. We learned so much and had a good retreat.
Tapalpa
The first community we visited was Tapalpa. We were received by Jaime and Rosa who are the parents of my cousin Lizette. They live in Tapalpa and have been missionaries there for many years. They invited us to teach our seminar with a local church and also some other families. In Tapalpa we taught two seminars, one in the church and one in a home.
Tapalpa was a great place to visit. We taught and served with the church and community, and the people were awesome. God is definitely doing great things there. Our initial plan was to leave Tapalpa and go to Colombia for a month, but the team lacked the financial support to make that trip. However, there are many wonderful communities in Mexico that need our help and our seminar. We left Tapalpa the way we often do, catching a ride with Saul’s parents on the back of their truck at 5am. They took us to Guadalajara airport where we got on a flight to Chiapas. We will talk about that in the next newsletter. Please pray for us as we are still traveling and sharing our bible seminars.
Thank you for your interest in the ministries and reading this newsletter. God has a plan and we should be seeking him and his heart for people in our lives.
